reed-solomon encoding
- form of error correction codes that detect and correct errors in data transmission or storage
 - redudant data is add (parity bits) to the original data in such a way that if part of the data is lost or corrupted, it can be reconstructed
 - from the idea that polynomials over finite fields represent data
 - erasure encoding is the general form of it
 - at large enough scale, rather than purely replicating for data integrity, usage of reed-solomon codes is better.
