"There's no grammar, you just have to learn it" is a phrase that's been said to me twice: once when I was trying to learn Behdini, and another when I was working on Iraqi Arabic. While my both of my friends tried to convey that there was no explicit taught grammatical rule, the understanding is that there is an implicit grammatical rule that one must discover through the course of engaging with the language
